On December 10, 2021, I woke up feeling gross and decided to exercise. The next day, I got up and did the same. I kept going and going, and now I’m one of those annoying people that feels like day is weird if I don’t do some kind of activity: My heart and brain is lined with that oozy brown goo from FernGully until I melt it away with movement.

On a random afternoon in March of last year, I opened my makeup drawer and realized that the chaos was driving me insane. I took the drawer off its hinges, dumped the contents onto the floor, separated the items into piles (trash, things to keep, things to send to my sister-in-law Jessie who loves colorful sparkly stuff, and things to donate), and then put the keepers away. It took all of 30 minutes.
