Working Prime Day for a publication is exhausting, especially in Prime Day early days when you didn’t have the sales in an epic spreadsheet ahead of time. I’d wake up while it was still dark and scour Amazon for the entire day. Deal after deal. Page after page. It was grueling in a weird dry-eyeball sort of way. But I also loved the chase: I loved the idea that I could help people find better deals on things they wanted. I still love that.
While I no longer work for a publication (only myself) and I try to shop directly with smaller brands instead of Amazon (though zero judgment if you do!), I still enjoy that chase, which is why today I spent some time hunting down a few great non-Amazon sales to shop in case you’re feeling shoppy.
I expect I will continue to add to this list as the days go on, so check back for more! Looking for something specific? Reach out. Let’s find you what you’re looking for.
Home
Up to 70% off Estelle Colored Glass: Colorful martini glasses, Champagne flutes, goblets, and this gorgeous butterscotch vase.
Up to 50% off Finnish Design Shop: Home of my recommended butter dish that holds your Kerrygold! But there’s lots of cool stuff here, like this orange table lamp, fishy serving dish, and flower bath rug.
Up to 70% off Lulu & Georgia: There are so many good finds in here, from this braided mirror to this excellent throw if you need to add some color to your space.
Up to 30% off Thermoworks: For all you paranoid girlies and boydies and peopleies (me!), the Thermapen is 30% off. Get it in your choice of color and make cooking chicken less scary. The Thermopop is 25% off. While it may be milliseconds less fast, it’s less expensive and just as good at keeping the paranoia at bay.
Up to 30% off Brooklinen: There are a lot of bedding sales happening. I tend to like Brooklinen for their quality and middle-of-the-road pricing. Do a bundle for the best discounts!
Extra 20% off Hawkins New York: Such a fun time to stock up on cool home items, like this beautiful table runner and these colorful bubble glasses.
Up to 30% off Coming Soon: File these under things that make me happy: these punchy dinner bowls, this tulip jug, and this mushroom teapot.
Up to 40% off Atelier Saucier: Upgrade your napkins and dare to delight in these confetti espresso cups.
Fashion
30% off Loeffler Randall: Give me this crochet sleeveless top, these espadrilles, and this perfect every-season dress.
Up to 50% off Malone Souliers: Home of my rehearsal dinner shoes. Insanely elegant. Somehow also so comfortable. There are a few sizes left in each color.
50% off Jenni Kayne: The best sale I’ve (ever!) seen on Jenni. Everything is good here, especially this cozy cardi, summer-ready leopard slip, and satin slip skirt.
20% off Splendid: Including my most favorite lightweight pants, the Angies. I may have them in three colors.
25% off Dermstore: You’ll need to be a member, but now’s the time to grab your beauty favorites (why ever buy full price?).
Up to 50% off Ozma of California: Effortlessly cool: everything I want to be and am not. An organic poplin skirt, a cinched poplin top, overalls, and cotton shorts. I love that this brand has models of every shape, size, color, and vibe, and a full range of sizes available. More of this please!
Up to 50% off Mate the Label: B Corp? Organic? Cozy? Lush? Yes, please. I’ll take a few new tee-shirts and this waffle half-zip.
25% off Lingua Franca: I love all the embroidered sweatshirts, especially this “Good Trouble” one.
Up to 75% off Richer Poorer: Lightweight tees, tanks, and hang-around essentials for all. How many boxy tees do I need? Apparently many.
30% off Hatch: For all my mamas-to-be, Hatch is having a great sale. It is a pain to buy maternity clothing because you know you won’t have it forever but also it sucks feeling like crap in your clothes. So…getting the good stuff on sale (that maybe you can even wear post-baby) is a good idea. Yes to maternity shorts and a good pair of jeans. Also, this jumpsuit.
Up to 70% off Alex Mill: This linen midi skirt please and this button down. Shorts for when it’s too hot to wear anything. Don’t forget the men’s stuff too.
Garmentory: Want to shop real small? I love looking at Garmentory for new and vintage items. An awesome (bold, colorful) satchel, a bright and stripey skirt, a vintage denim jacket? I could spend forever on here.
Things
Le Creuset clearance sale: An eight-quart dutch oven for $299? Wow. A three-piece set for 30% off. My favorite mini pinch bowls for $17! Tons of gems in here. Herb planters??? Wow.
Up to 40% off Bose headphones: I love my QuietComfort ones! You can even lower the amount of noise-cancelling if it makes you dizzy (it makes me dizzy).
$20 off at The Sill: Even already on-sale items like this fiddle-leaf fig and this pet-friendly trio!
Up to 25% off Away luggage: I love my Away luggage. They have sales often, so this shouldn’t come as a surprise — just a note to never pay full price. If you hate checking a bag (like me), the Bigger Carry-On Flex is the way to go.
Free shipping from Bookshop!: This is a great opportunity to buy your favorite books from not Amazon! Might I suggest preordering Nights & Weekends or grabbing Georgia Freedman’s Snacking Dinners for non-cooking dinners (which is nice on hot summer nights). There’s also Julia Turshen’s What Goes With What. And 2025 James Beard winner Our South. Also, the entire ACOTAR series because damn, if it’s not the best escapism on the planet.
20% off Modern Sprout: Where to even begin? Seed pops, grow lights, propagation stations. Green and black thumbs welcome.
